The Schuylkill Expressway or I-76 appears on the northern part of Bala Cynwyd. The road moves along the western end of downtown Philadelphia. The highway also goes west to King of Prussia.
There are two stations on the SEPTA Cynwyd Line within the city limits. The line goes to the Center City Philadelphia region, but it is also the least-popular route in the SEPTA system. There are a few stations north of the city that serve the Manayunk/Norristown Line.
The Cynwyd Heritage Trail runs from the location of the SEPTA Cynwyd station to the Manayunk Bridge. The trail runs two miles and is home to a pedestrian-only bridge that goes over the river.
