Patrick, I’m going to be honest — the way you spoke to me on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I called simply asking why my service was canceled, and instead of explaining things respectfully, you immediately came at me with comments like “Have you seen your yard?” and kept exaggerating the condition of my grass. Yes, I was out of town for about three weeks, and yes, parts of the yard may be dry or uneven, but saying my entire yard is over 10 inches tall is simply not true. Especially the front yard. I literally just had it cut a few weeks ago. What really threw me off was the fact that you quoted me $300 for a basic grass cut when I never asked for weed removal, landscaping, bush trimming, or any extra work. My landlord only requested that the grass be mowed. That price honestly felt excessive and unreasonable for what I actually requested. You also kept giving conflicting information during the call. First you said you had been to my house twice already, but I work from home and never saw you on my Ring camera. Then you claimed someone tried contacting me “two weeks ago,” even though I only booked recently. After that, you said maybe you had me confused with someone else. So naturally, that made me question whether you even had the correct property in the first place. The entire conversation felt disrespectful from start to finish. The laughing, attitude, constant interruptions, and exaggerated claims about my yard were unnecessary. If you didn’t want to take the job, that could have been communicated professionally without speaking down to me. At this point, I would rather cancel the service entirely than pay $300 to someone who treated me that way over the phone.
